When writing, it is crucial to remember that students have to provide a rationale for their argument. Using the secondary source to illustrate the primary data supplied from a different source is generally less reliable than secondary data. This is why the primary source is essential in any type of academic paper. Plagiarism is a major issue for students who write academic research papers. They should also ensure that references and sources are checked prior to using secondary sources.
